It’s been over a month since I had surgery with Director Hwang Se-hwi. The swelling went down unevenly, so I worried that my nose had become very crooked as it deflated, but once it settled, it ended up only being a little more crooked than my original nose. Considering that I already had some facial asymmetry and my nose was already tilted in that direction, I’m satisfied with this result. I still need to watch the progress a bit more, but I’m satisfied for now. The front view of my nose was okay, but the side view was really ugly. Since there was no implant, my acquaintances were surprised that it didn’t stick out awkwardly on my face and instead came out looking naturally in harmony with my original nose. I’m satisfied too because my complex has improved. The director pays a lot of attention to the contour of the nasal tip, and the way light reflects off the tip has changed. Personally, I don’t think Director Hwang Se-hwi’s surgical style can produce a big effect for people with thick skin. The director doesn’t do septal extension and instead emphasizes repositioning the nasal tip cartilage. Since the surgical method itself is like this, the law that the original structure matters inevitably applies to some extent. You need to create the contour of the tip and then let the skin cover it so that contour shows through, but for a bulbous nose with thick skin, I think the effect would be minimal. My skin is of average thickness, and I did get a front-view effect where the light reflection pattern changed appropriately. (It looks quite similar to my original nose from the front, but only the light reflection line changed.) The side view is very satisfying. Overall I’m satisfied, and I was also satisfied with the aftercare. To help the incised skin heal faster, they blocked my nose for a few more days with gauze soaked in ointment. It was really hard having my nose blocked for a few extra days, but the incised skin inside my nose healed well. Overall I was satisfied, and I’m posting this review with gratitude. Also, my original nose already had a somewhat large size, so I think that helped the result turn out satisfyingly. They tend to make things look natural, so if you want a flashy nose or have a very small and short nose, I don’t think you’ll see a dramatic effect. The same goes for the thick-skin case I mentioned earlier. I recommend getting a consultation if you want a more natural change and have fewer difficult conditions.
