Eye Surgery review at Wideu (위드) · 2021-07-02

I had surgery 6 years ago. I’ve been looking into revision surgery for the past 4 years. I have sausage eyes. I asked for a consultation once in year 1 and once in year 3, and when I went in year 1, I remember waiting two or three hours. What they told me then was to just wait; there was still swelling. When I went in year 3, they only said, “It’s an eye with no problems,” and left, and through the manager they said they would lower the line for 1 million won. The conclusion is that from year 1 until now, my eyes have stayed the same. Well, maybe because I’ve aged and the skin has sagged a bit, makeup makes them a little better than before, but the line is still very deep and puffy below the line. Because it was a disaster, on the day of surgery the doctor kept talking while operating, saying to the person next to them, “What should we eat for lunch? Jjajangmyeon?” and going on about lunch. I hate myself for not saying then, ‘Please focus on my surgery.’ Surgery is, after all, an area where individual characteristics and luck are hugely important, but there was definitely a problem in the way they treated the patient. Also, I’m not sure if they still do surgery that way now, but with partial incision they don’t cut in a pattern like (inner corner)---------(outer corner); instead they only make the incision at the front like (inner corner)____ (outer corner). While I was going around for consultations at other hospitals, one doctor said, “Why did they do it like this?” haha. He said it was a method often used in Daegu in the old days Each hospital has its own surgical style and its own standard of beauty, but my current eye condition is basically a sausage eye with deep scar marks only up to half of the eye. That’s why until year 2, when I opened my eyes, the line only showed up to halfway After that, as the skin sagged, the back part of the line gradually appeared. (Addition) In the end, I booked revision surgery at another hospital for my eyes. Even for my first surgery 6 years ago, I paid a high price for a first surgery, and thanks to the doctor I ended up spending 7 million won just on my eyes:) A 7 million-won eye, how thrilling.
