Almost 10 years ago, I had my first nose surgery for a unusual nose case, and they used autologous costal cartilage. After the surgery, they provided various aftercare treatments, including oxygen therapy, by having me come in for recovery and to help prevent inflammation. The original problems with my nose were improved quite a lot in their own way. But in terms of overall balance, my nose became too long and too big. Because it was all costal cartilage, the tip of my nose became hard and felt like a hammer. Personally, because the doctor was an ENT specialist, I felt they were a bit lacking on the cosmetic side.
