I had surgery with Director Ban about 9 years ago at an event price. I’m not the type to look into many places, and I was naive at the time, so I did a lot of legwork online and made the consultation and surgery decision on the spot at one place. The surgery method was explained well, and even afterward I’ve had no major side effects and it’s been holding up well until now. At that time, textured Motiva was all the rage, and the procedure was done with an inframammary incision and placement under the chest muscle. Nowadays there are more natural-looking options, and there are many more implant and surgical methods, but back then they said it had a lower risk of capsular contracture, so that’s how it was done. At the time I felt a bit disappointed because they inserted less than what was discussed during the consultation, 275 cc, but looking back after some time, it seems about right. Still, I’m a little disappointed with the feel and the implant position. Since it was placed under the muscle, it feels a bit firm. I think it’s important to set more specific standards in advance for the shape and feel you want, and go into surgery and consultation with that in mind. The hospital is always crowded, so it has the cluttered feel typical of a large hospital.
