Since my family had surgery at Banobagi Plastic Surgery Clinic, this was a hospital I went to without much suspicion or deep thought. I thought I had booked a consultation with the director my older sister saw, but on the day itself I found out it was Director Park Seon-jae, and I knew his reviews were bad, so I did not want to go through with it, but I ended up having the consultation anyway. The consultation was, as expected, like an old man in the neighborhood who only talks big. He didn’t even define the line for me. He kept saying, "I’m the type who does things thin," so he was very stubborn. He said the line would be set on the day of surgery and that if I made a same-day reservation, they would discount it... In the end, I was pushed into booking surgery almost by accident. I had surgery under local anesthesia and went through a lot, but on the day of surgery he set the line on the operating table while muttering to himself, then kept talking to himself, saying it was too thick, ugh, and so on. It felt a bit like playing with a doll. I was the doll. Anyway, if the surgery had just gone well, that would have been fine, but he gave me a thin in-out line, and it was a line that made me look older. He also did epicanthoplasty, but the Mongolian fold remained, so my eyes still looked cramped, scars were left behind, and in short it was a total mess. Even now, 2 and a half years later, it is uncomfortable to open my eyes, and I feel a foreign-body sensation inside my eyes. Don’t go. You’ll understand if you consult there. Don’t be swayed by the empty promise that they’ll take care of everything for you. Go somewhere that carefully consults with you while repeatedly checking the surgical line.
