From the start I wanted my first surgery to be definitely with autologous costal cartilage, so I had surgery here. Silicone was used for the bridge, and autologous costal cartilage for the tip. It feels like the recovery from the area where the rib cartilage was taken is almost done now. It’s been about a month, and people around me say only the minor swelling still needs to go down a bit more, but that it turned out well. They also took good care of me when I went in for follow-up care. They made sure I didn’t have to wait too long. Everything went straight through to the surgery, and once the swelling on the bridge goes down a bit more, it should be perfect.
