They quoted 329 for donated rib cartilage and 439 for autologous rib cartilage. I had a CT scan, and compared with other hospitals it felt a bit outdated. I felt they were kind. There was no CCTV, and they said if I wanted to film during surgery, they could do it with my phone. There is no aftercare. The director explained things in great detail and in a very detailed way, so it really stuck in my head. However, because my nose was crooked and the septum had collapsed, for straightening it right away, they said they would have to open the nose and decide after looking inside whether to use rib cartilage, artificial bone, or Medpor. There was a reason they excluded those materials. According to the director, it wasn't something being placed on top to create shape, but a small amount going into the lower column, so it was different. Still, because there are so many reported side-effect cases, I felt uneasy. Everything else was good, but it still felt disappointing.
