Now that I think about it, this is what a factory-style plastic surgery clinic is like. There are a lot of foreigners too, and there’s only a consultation room and treatment room, with no private office for the doctor. On the surgery day, the doctor carelessly marked the line in the operating room, and when I said I wanted the semi-out line I had mentioned during consultation, they got irritated and said it could turn into sausage eyes. When I said my eyes were originally semi-out and I just wanted to keep them that way, they didn’t even answer. They complained the whole surgery that I was tearing up a lot. I had ptosis correction because of asymmetrical eyes, but after surgery one side’s forehead went up and the eye wouldn’t open, so I had reoperation on only one eye. Up to that point I thought maybe this is what they mean when they say ptosis correction for asymmetrical eyes can have the Hering phenomenon. During the reoperation, they put Botox because the forehead was going up, complained that I was tearing up a lot, and roughly pressed hard while saying they were doing an ice compress, which made me very uneasy. In the end, the reoperated eye was overcorrected and opened in a triangular shape, but the doctor glanced at it in the treatment room and tried to brush it off, saying it seemed to have turned out well. When I said it looked overcorrected, they reacted defensively, saying hadn’t I been told from the beginning that both eyes couldn’t be exactly the same. When I said the problem wasn’t eye asymmetry but the overcorrection, they said it was hard to do another surgery and even if they did it again, there was no guarantee it could be matched. They told me to hold my eyelashes and pull downward for a month. After a month it came down a little, but it was still overcorrected and the inner corner of the eye felt pulled and painful, and they said that was not because of plastic surgery. They said if it still didn’t match after 3 to 4 months, contact them then and they’d match it again. It’s been 4 months since the surgery, and in the end it’s back to being asymmetrical like before, plus the eyes look unnaturally wide open and one eye is triangular. One side of the double eyelid line has dropped, while the other is lifted, forming two lines. And now it’s not about appearance anymore, it’s about pain... the overcorrected side still hurts and gets red often. They did say they would reoperate, but I’m too anxious to ever go back there again. I got a discount on the condition that I would post 10 reviews, but the clinic never even contacted me to ask me to post them.
