Eye Surgery review at Jio (지오) · 2021-09-15

I was very dissatisfied after getting epicanthoplasty and lateral/bottom canthoplasty at my first clinic, so I had secondary lateral canthoplasty reconstruction. They said there was no need to reconstruct the bottom canthoplasty anyway, because trying to find the thread and remove it would cause even more scarring and greater loss, so I did only the lateral canthoplasty reconstruction. The reason I had the lateral canthoplasty reconstruction was that both the left and right outer corners had been overopened into a ㄷ shape. Because of that, it looked bad aesthetically, and functionally my dry eye became severe. In fact, my right-eye vision dropped a lot. Now, three months after surgery, the V shape has been maintained reasonably well and I am generally satisfied, but what I am not satisfied with is that the outer corners look lower than my original eyes. (It can't be helped, but it feels slightly lower than before the reconstruction... it looks a bit silly.) When I looked at the before-and-after photos, it seems this also applies to lateral canthoplasty, but somehow I think this may be a characteristic of the surgery itself as well (after all, it is a surgery called lowering the outer corners), and I also thought it might be due to the surgical method. The eye size is somewhere between my original eyes and the eyes after the first lateral canthoplasty. It doesn't feel like they've become dramatically smaller, but I'm a little unhappy that the outer corners were lowered (In the first place, there is no way to go back to my original eyes.) If this is something you're worried about, please discuss it carefully with the director before surgery.
