A few years ago, I had my first surgery with natural adhesion buried sutures using dissolvable thread + ptosis correction. But both eyes came undone and developed multiple creases, so I went for revision surgery consultations. I had consultations at several places in Gangnam for revision surgery, and I’m torn between two of them.
One place said they would remove the existing double eyelid surgery buried-suture threads and do the same buried-suture method again, and another place recommended a partial incision without removing the threads. They said if you remove the threads, you have to dig around in the eye, which puts more strain on the eye, and if I do the buried-suture method again, it will quickly come undone again within a few years..
Since they were dissolvable threads and it’s already been several years, isn’t it impossible to remove them? Usually, if threads from a previous surgery remain, do you remove those threads and do revision surgery, or do you operate without removing them? If the threads aren’t removed, I’m somehow worried there may be side effects like multiple creases or that the line won’t turn out prettyㅜㅜ But usually when I look up reviews, not many people mention removing threads, so I’m curious!ㅠㅠ
And I’m also really torn about whether the buried-suture method or partial incision would be better.. I’m drawn to the buried-suture method because it doesn’t leave scars, but since mine came undone quickly within 10 years, this time, since I’m having surgery anyway, I want it to last a long time, so I’m drawn to partial incision.. But I’m worried that partial incision may leave scarsㅜㅜ They said the partial incision would be done slightly, one stitch on each eye, only to increase fixation strength, and that I would need to come back to have the stitches removed! Is there anyone who has had partial incision?
