Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

1 week after silicone removal

I was developing contracture, so I had the silicone removed last week and got the splint taken off today haha. Because of inflammation, they said revision surgery would only be possible 3-6 months after removing the silicone, so I only had it removed.. During my first surgery, they also shaved down my hump, and I heard they used about 4 mm of silicone, so I was really worried that if I removed it, my nose would become extremely low and unattractive. And in reviews, there were people whose nasal bone had been shaved, and many said their nose became broad and flat.. So I was really nervous today, the day the splint came off, but hmm..? The shape is better than when I had silicone in..? There must still be swelling, and it will gradually get lower, but it is absolutely not like, ah, my face is ruined! But my glabella area definitely got lower, and my nose became a semi-ski-slope shape. There is no step-off either! The ear cartilage at the nasal tip is still there I have read so much about the contraction phase and all that, so I am prepared for it In conclusion, it is not so much that my removal went perfectly, but I want to tell people who are about to have removal not to worry while imagining only the worst haha I do not think it collapses or ruins your face to that extent It is better than I expected
