It is hard to believe it has already been a year since the surgery... I am living comfortably now without even thinking about the surgery, but before the operation I was so stressed because the midface was so long. At first I also considered contouring, but after reading posts saying there was really no solution for the midface and going to consultations with general contouring clinics after doing a lot of online research, I learned that while facial lines can be refined, midface length is difficult. Then I happened to learn about the O& midface reduction surgery, and after reading the reviews, the face looked unbelievably smaller... I went for a consultation, and the director said they had seen many cases like mine and were confident they could shorten it, so we decided to do the surgery while also refining the uneven parts of my facial line! I saw before-and-after photos of patients like me, and I honestly wondered if this could be real... It is definitely different from regular contouring surgery, and I understood why this is the only place that can do a surgery that shortens the midface. There are definitely side effects, but I chose it because my midface was that long. The surgery and recovery were harder than I expected, but I practiced opening my mouth a lot as the director instructed, so even now at the 1-year mark I do not really feel any particular side effects. The aftercare was good when I visited the clinic, and the midface is clearly shorter with the lines refined, so I am very satisfied. Still, this is definitely a major surgery and one that only this place performs, so I recommend thinking carefully before proceeding!
