10th calf Botox review My thick calves were a real complex for me, so after going through liposuction and fat-dissolving injections, I ended up getting Botox as my final stop. My calf circumference went from 38 to around 34-35, going back and forth, and you can really see with your eyes that the actual line has become much more refined. I think it went from “overall thick!” to somewhere around average. My criteria for choosing the clinic + director was basically that I just got it from anyone. They said you have to keep getting it for a long time for it to be effective, so I chose a place with a cheap price per unit.
But now the side effects... not really side effects, more like downsides. Compensatory muscles forming of course it happens. At first, maybe because I got it overall, compensatory muscles formed on the outer side of my calves, so around the 4th session, when I asked them to pay attention to the outer side, compensatory muscles formed on the inner side. But objectively, I think unless someone is analyzing my legs in microscopic detail, they wouldn’t know, and it’s just something only I notice. After exercising or going on a trip where I walked a lot, I can see my legs have gotten thicker. The clinic absolutely does not pay attention to the Botox resistance interval (5-6 months)!!! I have to calculate it myself and go get it when I feel like the muscle has come up pretty badly. A lot of people say the swelling got worse, but personally, my swelling decreased. In the past, there were many times my legs ached so much that I couldn’t sleep, but now that almost never happens.
