First of all, since cosmetic surgery is still surgery, I’m the type who thinks inflammation can happen, and that cartilage itself can bend easily and the nose can become deviated.. That doesn’t mean I’d get it done just anywhere, so I researched online for 6 months, then visited 3 blacklisted clinics and 7 places that create a naturally glamorous line. (What I consider naturally glamorous: making a Karina-like nose, an extremely glamorous nose, look like it was originally my own nose// Even with just the nasal alar area, I think places where it looks very obvious even though they barely touch it are glamorous) The reason I visited the blacklisted ones was to see how they talk and steer consultations (among the 7 places I narrowed down, I was able to exclude 2 because they felt similar to large-scale & blacklisted clinics -> I’m timid so I won’t say where.. If you go for consultations, you’ll understand the feeling even without visiting blacklisted places)
ㅁㅇㄷ-ㅇㅇㅌ Consultation fee 10,000 won The only place where the CT machine took the scan while seated The director drew roughly in Paint and showed what my nose would look like after surgery Looked tired, style is to answer if you ask (not proactive) The consultant was a bit forced-high-energy Even with a reservation, the wait was very long (probably because there were many people getting procedures)
ㅁㅂ-ㅅㅇㅂ No consultation fee No CT scan Diagnosed me while touching my nose directly (3-4 minutes? Touched it for quite a while) Very proactive. Maybe because it was morning, but explained the surgical method (& why they do it that way and why side effects occur) proactively Both the consultant & director felt like mother/father figures? Gentle and friendly There wasn’t absolutely no wait, but still only about 5 minutes?? That level was okay okay. I didn’t get the feeling that people were waiting without any order
ㅇㅂㅅ-ㅅㅅㅈ Consultation fee 10,000 won Had CT scan (the head fixation at other places was loose, but here they fixed it tightly. Maybe because of the machine sound, I flinched from time to time during it. It wasn’t weird) They showed the silicone directly and lifted it with a cotton swab to show the shape (this wasn’t different from other places The consultant explained a lot very well (but not the parts the doctor should explain; more from the perspective of people researching surgery). The director is the blunt type, but explains carefully if asked (surgical method). Oh, and the consultant didn’t have any rough/pushy vibe at all (at a few places the consultants had strong personalities and I was scaredㅠㅜ This matters to me..) Initial wait was around 10 minutes?? I enjoyed the Lotus biscuit so I can forgive it haha. There was about a 5-minute wait while the director was coming (similar to other places), and it was nice that a staff member told me midway there would be a wait (many places don’t tell you and just move onㅡㅡ) Oh, and the surgical method was a bit different from other places (they said it’s an old surgical method and has a higher probability of inflammation)
ㅎㅌ-ㅎㅅㅊ No consultation fee Had CT scan (just seemed standard) They explained while looking together at the materials I had organized (problems & improvement points for my nose, photos of the nose I want, question list). Extremely proactive (they even showed me Twitter). I didn’t want nostril/alar base reduction and wanted the lower part of the nose itself to move upward, and other hospitals said there was no surgery that could give that kind of effect(?), but here it was the director’s patent (that was a bit of an advantage for me) There were short waits, about 5 minutes? Tolerable
ㄷㄷㅇ-ㄱㅌㅅ No consultation fee No CT scan (they took one frontal photo) The director looked a bit busy/ I had requested someone else, but Director ㄱㅌㅅ came in so I was flustered, but he examined me thoroughly and told me everything I didn’t need/ He looked carefully through my question list
ㅂㅇㅂ-ㅇㅇㅁ No consultation fee Had CT scan (standard) The director seemed to remove everything unnecessary and pursue a natural look (not meaning unnoticeable, but like matching it by looking at facial harmony// if my face is plain -> an ordinary nose, glamorous face -> glamorous nose). They also explained the surgical method here (there were places that explained less than expected). I told them what I wanted, but they firmly said it didn’t seem necessary and that it wouldn’t be too late to add it later There was no wait (as soon as the consultant was done, I had the director consultation, so it was surprising)
ㅁㅌ-ㅇㅎㅅ Consultation fee 10,000 won No CT scan I went here because of word of mouth. The reviews and the director’s style both seemed unconditionally natural (a feeling that my nose wouldn’t change drastically). Recommended if you want it natural. I wanted a naturally glamorous look, and it seemed like my needs wouldn’t match, so it was a bit disappointing (because he looked like he would be good at surgery// that’s just my own guess, and one advantage was that after anesthesia ends, they can wake you up, check the final nose shape, and then suture). Recommended only what was necessary to a legendary degree (my mom liked it) There was about an 8-minute wait?
Before visiting clinics, I think it’s enough to know only the consultation fee, whether CT is done, and the style of the director & consultant!! The clinic I had been most looking forward to turned out not to be great after I visited. If you’re not from outside Seoul, I recommend visiting quickly. If it’s your first surgery and you know nothing like me, I think it’s good to visit around 6 places (it’s too much, but there’s nothing bad about it..)
