<My nasal tip is very high, and from the front it looks very crooked. The nasal tip also looks slightly upturned; they said it’s not contracture.> I had my nose done about 13 years ago with silicone on the nasal bridge + septal cartilage. Originally, I had almost no nasal bridge, and only my nasal tip was a little high, but the nasal ala were small and it was a bulbous-nose shape.
But my nasal tip is too high, so it keeps getting more and more crooked... Today, as my first consultation, I went to ㅋㅂㅈ and came back after getting a consultation. To summarize the consultation:
- There are 2 sheets of silicone stacked together, about 3 mm inserted. They said that since 3 mm was inserted and it’s this high, it seems like it would be okay even if I remove the silicone. They said they would remove the silicone, but if it’s too low or something, they would insert a little silicone during surgery. Since the nasal bones on the sides of the bridge are a little thick, if they do some osteotomy there, it will look higher even after removing the silicone. And for the nasal tip, they would reuse the septal cartilage currently there, but lower it to match the nasal bridge, and if needed, they may use ear cartilage. Lower the columella.
That’s what they said. The price is in the high 5 million won range, and they said they’d give a 10% discount if I put down a deposit first, so I put down a deposit. They said even if I cancel, they’ll refund it after deducting the consultation fee + CT fee. I liked the consultation... but my natural nose really had a very low bridge, you know? I can’t find old photos, but ㅜㅜ But I’m really wondering whether removing the silicone from the nasal bridge and doing osteotomy on the nasal bones beside the dorsum will actually make it look higher. And since I don’t have inflammation, if I only remove the silicone, would it settle a bit higher than before thanks to the capsule??
I’m planning to go to ㅊㅁ, ㅍㄹㅁ, and ㅇㅈ next. For people who have had silicone removal, how was it? Is it a little higher than your natural nose?
I did consider silicone removal, but since my nasal bridge was so low, I was worried I’d be disappointed and end up getting another revision surgery, so I was just going to readjust the silicone and nasal tip lower. Still, removal would be better than keeping silicone in my body, right??
