Eye Side Effects@eye-sideeffect

Review of side-effect after lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty

It’s been about two months since I had double eyelid surgery and four-way canthoplasty together! I don’t know about the other things, but I was a bit stressed because of the lateral canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty. I thought there would be many people curious about side effects, so I’m writing this to tell you the side effects I experienced and how I’m doing now!

1. Scar tissue This didn’t come up well in searches. Maybe I was the only one… Between the outer corner of my eye and the bone, something formed that felt like a very hard stye. It didn’t hurt, but it was uncomfortable, and I was worried I might get a ㄷ-shaped deformity. Even up to a month and a half, it was very noticeable, but starting the day before yesterday, it rapidly shrank, and now it has completely disappeared! Time seems to be the answer.

2. Red scar The incised part, the part that shows like the eyelid, looks red! It feels like when skin is cut, the red inner flesh is just visible, not like normal skin? When I’m tired, it seems to get redder. At first it was very visible, but now it feels like it’s gradually less visible. It’s covered by eyelashes, so it doesn’t show much. I don’t know whether time is the answer for this one.

3. Deformity It definitely doesn’t look natural, and the line continues to the outer eye corner, then from the incised area it feels like it goes slightly off. You won’t notice this either unless you look closely. One eye finished well in a V shape, but remember I said the eye that had the scar tissue seemed like it might develop a deformity? It became U-shaped ㅎ But I accepted that possibility when I did it, so it’s okay…

4. Can’t smile with my eyes This was really fatal for me;; What happens to the eyes is, when I smile, the aegyo-sal rises over the fixed mucous membrane, so it looks bizarre. It really looks ghostlike. I didn’t even think it had been lowered that much, but it was definitely strange. And maybe because the muscle or fat was pulled downward together, the area under my eyes became a bit weird. Overall, my eyes aged a bit,,, This has gotten a lot better now too, but it still isn’t natural, so I try not to smile if possible. ++Now at 2 months, it’s gotten a bit better!

5. Hollowing under the eyes Ah, this makes me the most angry. Literally, the area under my eyes became deeply hollow. My dark circles got worse. This doesn’t seem to have an answer, but I’m going to watch it for about a yearㅜㅜ ++I think this is because of the epicanthoplasty.

Since my eyes were originally very small and narrow, I’m satisfied because they look much more open than if I hadn’t done it!! Since it’s only been two months, I’m also looking at it hopefully, thinking there’s room for improvement ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I hope you take the side effects into account and decide carefully~~~
