Before <after surgery> Before <false and misleading medical-law guidance>
I’m writing this hoping there will never again be another victim like me. If you’re interested in lower blepharoplasty or are about to have surgery, I hope you read this at least once and make a choice you won’t regret.
First of all, the hospital where I had surgery had so many promotional posts on communities and apps. I can’t know whether they were real, ads, brokers, or the company,
but if you decide on surgery after reading unsourced posts like that and then get side effects, there is no answer.
You can’t go back. The fact is that what has been damaged can never be restored no matter what cost you pay.
★ As someone who had surgery, I really regretted choosing this kind of hospital because I never saw even one post like this.
Don’t regret it like I do. Even if you regret it, regretting after knowing and regretting without knowing are different. I hope there will never again be another victim like me.

I had
lower eyelid fat repositioning + nano fat grafting for dark circles + anterior cheek fat grafting
at xx Plastic Surgery Clinic in Sinsa.
Afterward, a lot of side effects appeared?
- Sensation disappeared on half of my face. It seems like nerve damage. (tingling and numbness from my cheekbone, nose, under-eye area, to my lips)
- Scleral show (the lower eyelid is fixed and doesn’t go up, so my eyes look uneven, and when I smile, one eye doesn’t close completely)
- Dark circles (they got worse. People around me say as soon as they see me, “Why are your dark circles so bad?”)
- The aegyo-sal boundary disappeared / symptoms of entropion are also visible
* They discarded the before/after surgery photos and won’t let me check them (is this really a professional hospital?)
When selling, they say they’re professional. They say people line up to get surgery even without seeing the director. Never trust what the consultation manager says.
After these side effects occurred, I requested a follow-up with the director. But they wouldn’t schedule a director follow-up?
(The story is long, but I’ll only write the facts.) They kept saying to wait, that we had to watch it over time, persuading and avoiding me while not scheduling a director follow-up.
After 8-9 months like that, I was finally able to see the director for a follow-up.
But the answer I heard at the follow-up was absurd and made no sense, so when I requested another follow-up together with my guardian,
★ they confidently gave me false, misleading guidance, saying that having a follow-up with my guardian was a violation of medical law? I was so dumbfounded that I asked several times.
The coordinator team and the consultation manager all gave that same false guidance. (I have phone and KakaoTalk evidence.)
When I said let’s end this with a full refund and an apology from the staff who gave the false guidance,
they said they’d refund half? And when I told them the staff who gave false guidance should apologize, they said the staff were young and didn’t know, and they’d handle it internally.
So I told them not to contact me in the future about treatment, A/S, revision surgery, or refunds.
Then someone called a general manager? whom I’d never seen at the hospital contacted me using an alias. It’s the first time I’ve seen a plastic surgery clinic use an alias.
In any case, the surgical result is one thing, but if I had known the aftercare was like this, I wouldn’t have had the surgery.
And they said this is a hospital where there are no later follow-ups with the director, so everyone should know that before deciding on surgery.
As someone experiencing side effects, I’ll say just one thing.
"Side effect reviews" get temporarily taken down and, in practice, it becomes hard for consumers to see them, making it difficult to make the right choice.
Most posts on all kinds of apps and communities are only successful cases.
Even successful-looking posts are often written by hospitals, and many are broker recommendations.
★ Think about it. There are no patients who had successful surgery and then keep writing review posts and managing comments.
I hope people who get plastic surgery always look into everything, think it over a hundred times, and be careful.
The side-effect tabs on apps and the “real reviews” in community side-effect sections will help. (Community review-style posts often have many ads, so keep that in mind.)
I hope you recognize the risks of surgery to some degree and decide carefully. I hope you don’t make the same mistake I did.
What has already been damaged can never be reversed. Hospitals also don’t take responsibility; that’s a fact. There are many hospitals that say they’ll do this and that, then turn their backs.
