Under-eye Fat

Hospital: Element Dermatology Consultant: Director Kim Byeong-cheol Consultation fee: 15,000 won Consultation details: I had been searching YouTube for a long time about lifting and under-eye fat, and Element Dermatology somehow gave me a sense of trust, so I got a consultation with Director Kim Byeong-cheol, who specializes in under-eye fat. I wanted to ask about Ulthera and Thermage too, but that doctor was on vacation? or something, so the consultation was far later than I could wait, and I couldn’t do it. Still, Director Kim Byeong-cheol told me roughly what to do first and what the priority order should be. The doctor kindly explained the under-eye fat reconstruction procedure to me in detail. He said the bulging fat under the eyes would be completely removed, and the fat below the eyeball would be treated so it would no longer be pushed forward, so there would be no chance of recurrence. But I heard that if you remove the under-eye fat, hollowness under the eyes can also occur. He said that area would need to be filled with fat grafting, and that once the bulging part was removed, wrinkles could form because that fullness would be gone. So he said I would need a dermal regeneration injection. It felt like... one thing after another kept getting added. He did not force me at all to do it. But because it seemed like if it were removed completely, I would almost certainly end up with under-eye hollowness, I started thinking to myself that if I remove the under-eye fat, I would also have to do this. Around then, one question came to mind. If I’m going to graft fat anyway, can’t I just not remove it completely? So I asked, if I’m going to have fat grafting again, can’t you leave a little behind? lol The doctor seemed to let out a faint sigh...^^; “I already told you...” he said gently. (I think he said that if it isn’t completely removed, the chance of recurrence is high over time. I heard it, but I momentarily forgot. Still, I kept wondering whether if fat is grafted, the fat layer doesn’t eventually come back anyway.) “When you do fat grafting, doesn’t it recur again?” I asked, and he said it is grafted into an entirely different layer of skin. He said he does it very finely so it won’t be noticeable. Anyway, since this is something I don’t know well... I nodded, thinking, Ah, I see. After that, I asked a few more things, and he also explained the facial-expression clinic? before leaving. After that, a counselor came in and told me various price ranges, mentioning under-eye fat removal, fat grafting, regenerative injections, eye Thermage, and the facial-expression clinic. It wasn’t that I had to do everything, but more of a choose-what-you-want atmosphere, though I thought I would probably need at least under-eye fat removal, fat grafting, and regenerative injections. (Would I get under-eye hollowness 90% of the time?) The total ended up being 2 to 3 times the amount I had expected. Since I wanted it, I also got extra info about elasticity and nasolabial folds... but when I added everything up, it felt like I’d need to pull out a whole support pillar. Still, I wanted the bulging under-eye area gone, so I thought I’d give myself a gift this time, and since this doctor seemed good at under-eye fat removal, if I was going to do it, I should do it at this hospital... but when I got home and looked up the side effects, there were so many ㅠㅠ Could I really avoid the side effects...? And because I could really feel the doctor’s faint sigh during the consultation, lol, I kept thinking about the bad parts and the side effects and wondering if maybe I shouldn’t do it.
