Before <before surgery> Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> It has been 6 months since my revision surgery for contracted nose. From the front, my nostrils looked lifted, and my side profile also looked like an upturned nose, which stressed me out, so I ended up getting revision surgery. It has been 6 months now, and I think my nose looks prettier than it did at 30 days and 90 days. As the swelling went down, the shape of my nose became more natural, and the part that looked bulky also looks pretty now that the swelling has gone down. The hardness in my nose and those symptoms have also gone away, and since my overall image has changed too, I even thought I should have done it sooner.
At every follow-up, the director checked the autologous costal cartilage donor area as well, and I really liked that they took photos and explained things to me. More than anything, I no longer have to worry about the issues I had because of the contracture symptoms, and when I meet people, everyone says it looks much better, so I’m satisfied. I felt burdened about using autologous costal cartilage, but now, 6 months later, I feel very glad that I went ahead with the surgery as the director recommended.
If you are worrying because of side effects like mine, I hope others can also have successful revision surgery.
