I made a list of several clinics for double eyelid revision surgery, and this was the clinic I had the second-highest expectations for. I made an appointment late in the evening, and the female staff member sitting at the desk was really careless and casual. She felt like a part-timer. I registered on the 9th floor, went down to the 8th floor to take photos, waited in the consultation room, and then a male consultant came in.
It was my first time seeing a male consultant, and he was cheerful. He was also kind. When he comes in, the first thing he asks is what I dislike the most right now and what I want to do. Compared with other clinics, he set the line high from the start. Right now I have an in-out line, but it has come undone. Other directors consult by raising that same line little by little, but this person set it as an out-line from the very beginning.
I showed him photos of the eyes I wanted, and after he said we should do a semi-out line, the director came in. But before coming in, they said there was something he had to take care of, so it took quite a while.
He came in, but the director's attitude was not great. He was sloppy and there was nothing kind about him. He also mixed in some informal speech.
Instead, he did seem confident and proud of his own ability. So I was tempted by that, but now that I'm home and thinking about it, I wonder who couldn't just say confident things. The consultant was very kind, but the director is someone far from kind.
They said he wrote "good" on my consultation chart, and apparently it just means my case fits well with their clinic. I'm writing this because I remembered it.
Also, they said that here, other than once during the director consultation and once during surgery, there is no occasion to see the director. It is hearsay, but those kinds of things probably don't circulate for no reason.
The price was expensive compared with other places, but once the event discount was applied, it became similar to other places.
But I wondered how much such an arrogant person would take responsibility if something went wrong after surgery... Because of that, I ended up leaving without making a reservation. They say they give an additional discount if you book the same day, but I think price adjustment would still be possible even if you leave without booking.
And I got a slightly factory-style feeling. It was very different from the image I had of the clinic and the director..
