This is my review 1 month + 2 weeks after removal.
The thing people are probably most curious about in a removal review is whether the nasal bridge became too low afterward. Of course, it is lower than before removal. But because the nasal tip no longer pulls upward or has contracture, even though the bridge is gone, the tip is closer to a normal appearance, so in my opinion it looks much better and more natural.
I am currently taking the prescribed medication Rizaben, and around one month after removal, I went to the hospital and received an injection to prevent scar tissue. (The doctor told me to come once a month for medication and injections until 6 months.) For now, the tissue over the nasal bridge still looks not fully filled in, it still feels a little like it is not my own skin, and the scar at the incision site on the nasal tip is dark, so I keep applying a regeneration bandage or scar ointment.
Still, I do not think scar tissue has formed yet (nothing inside the nose is protruding or thickened). It is so much easier to breathe, the nasal bridge feels light, and more than anything, I feel every day how happy it is to live comfortably with my bare face out in the open. Another thing I realized after removal is that other people actually are not that interested in my face. To my eyes it looks hugely different, but acquaintances and people around me usually do not notice unless I tell them. Thinking that other people's gaze toward my face would be negative was mostly my own insecurity, and once I got away from those negative thoughts, I even started to feel that I look quite pretty just as I am.
Even now, I think I made the right decision by choosing removal rather than revision surgery, and I will leave another review around the 3-month mark.
For those who are struggling emotionally because of side effects from plastic surgery, please gather your courage and take action~ Please go for in-person consultations at several hospitals as soon as possible, find the hospital that suits each of you, whether for removal or revision surgery, and I sincerely hope you can escape the pain and return to a comfortable daily life!
