Natural adhesion double eyelid surgery and upper canthoplasty, 3 months

It’s already been 3 months since I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery + upper canthoplasty with Director Lee Hee-young at a plastic surgery clinic. My eyes were originally on the smaller side, so I was stressed that they looked a bit stuffy, and I had a habit of unconsciously using my forehead muscles when opening my eyes. So I started considering surgery because I didn’t want anything overly obvious, just a naturally clearer-looking change.

When I went for the consultation, I liked that the director immediately understood the look I wanted. They used a stick to make the line several times and showed me directly, so I felt reassured because I could get a sense of, “Ah, it’ll roughly look like this.” I had upper canthoplasty done together based on the director’s recommendation. I hesitated a little at first, but in the end, I’m glad I did it.

I’m now 3 months post-op, and as everyone already knows, there’s a limit to how much double eyelid surgery alone can make the eyes bigger. I also don’t feel like my eyes themselves became dramatically larger, but because of the double eyelid line, my eyes look much more open and defined, so I’m quite satisfied with that. This “looking bigger” effect was bigger than I expected lol

And the best part is really… it’s comfortable to open my eyes. Being able to open them naturally without using my forehead like before is a subtle quality-of-life improvement. People around me also say it turned out very natural, so I’m even more satisfied.

There is still a very slight redness near the inner corners of my eyes, and the line is a little visible when I close my eyes, but it’s barely noticeable, so I think it’ll become even more natural with time. Also, I developed one milium near the inner corner of my eye in the middle of recovery, and the clinic kindly removed it for me, so I felt good about that aspect too.

Overall, I like most that they made it natural and not excessive, in a way that suits my face. If you’re considering natural-looking double eyelid surgery, I think it would be a good option!
