Epicanthoplasty + upper canthoplasty review

Whether bare-faced or with makeup on, my eyes kept looking stuffy and closed off, so it was stressful I kept wondering whether it was because my double eyelids were thick or because the inner corners of my eyes were blocked, so I thought I should go for consultations and find out accurately. I looked mainly for hospitals that specialize a lot in eyes + places with many revision surgery reviews. I went around to a few consultations, and the surgeries they recommended differed more than I expected. Some places said canthoplasty alone would be enough, while others told me to do double eyelid surgery or even ptosis correction together..; I hadn’t decided exactly what I needed, but as I went to consultations, I started to get a sense of which surgery would be good for me. At the clinic I chose, the director looked at my eyes and immediately told me firmly that canthoplasty alone would be enough. I also wanted to get rid of the stuffy feeling rather than change my eyelid line, so I decided on surgery. The fact that they didn’t push excessive procedures had the biggest influence. So I got epicanthoplasty and upper canthoplasty, and the surgery itself was really over quickly. Recovery was also on the faster side, and it didn’t take long for things to settle, so there wasn’t really anything uncomfortable. What I worried about most was the lacrimal caruncle showing too much, but there’s none of that feeling at all. It opened up naturally, so I’m completely satisfied. Even though only the inner corners were opened, my eyes look much more refreshed, and the stuffy feeling has almost disappeared. There is definitely a before-and-after difference, but it doesn’t look obvious and the scars don’t stand out, so I like it. These days, the best part is that I don’t have to draw eyeliner at the inner corners when doing makeup… Some friends had tried to stop me, saying the difference probably wouldn’t be that big and asking why I’d bother, but now they say I did the right thing.
