My honest review after getting a mini vertical lift (concerns about nasolabial folds and submental fat)

As I’m getting older, I can really feel that my facial elasticity isn’t what it used to be. Especially when I see my face reflected in my office monitor or under the bathroom lighting, the nasolabial folds beside my mouth look sunken like deep valleys, and it startles me every time;; I was also so tired of wiping away the foundation that settled in those lines with a cotton swab whenever I touched up my makeup, and once the fat under my chin started feeling heavier too, my jawline would disappear with just a slight tilt of my head, which felt so unfair……

I had honestly tried lasers as much as I could, but I felt they just weren’t enough to support the weight of the soft tissue on my face, so I made up my mind to get a mini vertical lift!!!! (I had read such good reviews.) What I liked during the consultation with Director Jang Woo-seok was that even though I was getting greedy and wanted to add various things, he said, “There’s no need to go that far right now,” and made a plan focused only on what I really needed, mainly the midface and jawline!! Instead of pushing excessive procedures, he gave realistic advice, which made me feel much more at ease lol. I think his uniquely cheerful vibe also helped relieve a lot of my nervousness before surgery!!

The surgery time was really short too, and the most fascinating part was the swelling!! I’m really the type who swells easily, so I was worried that the annual leave I took might not be enough, but maybe because the incision was small and inside the hairline, I was surprised that I looked much more normal than expected lol. The scar was also hidden by my hair, so even after I went back to work, no one brought up anything about surgery haha.

Before, when I rubbed along my jawline, there was soft tissue that felt heavy in my hand, but now I can just feel the smooth bone line, so it feels kind of strange~ The dark shadow that used to sit around the nasolabial fold area is gone, so my overall impression feels clearer? Since the midface line looks more refined, I feel like my face looks smaller too?  When I think about the hassle of worrying every month about how many laser shots to book, I think getting the line cleaned up like this all at once was a much more satisfying choice, both mentally and financially! haha
