Eye Surgery Reviews

Story of My Botched Double Eyelid Surgery 5 Years Ago

First of all, I had surgery about 5 years ago at ㅇㄱㅈㅅㅇ Plastic Surgery in Apgujeong. About 5 years ago, I had surgery with an incisional method. I was twenty, so I really knew nothing, and out of the desire to get it done in one go with an incision so it wouldn’t come undone, I chose the incisional method for my very first surgery.. Initial surgery can cost a lot, and revisions are difficult too, so if it’s your first time, I recommend the non-incisional method Anyway, that doctor is gone now, but I don’t even want to call her a doctor.. She was a young woman, but I don’t remember her name. I went there through an acquaintance’s recommendation, and it still turned out badly. The consultant was also unfriendly and subtly good at gaslighting. What was a bit shocking was that she showed me other people’s review photos and even disparaged her own client in front of me.. First, I had ptosis correction and double eyelid surgery together, but she set the ptosis correction unevenly. She even set the crease lines themselves differently on each eye. So only my right eye became overcorrected, and I contacted them a few weeks later, but they told me to wait 6 months. Doctors may have different opinions, but some say ptosis correction should be fixed quickly. Anyway, I lived for 6 months with the mucous membrane on one side everted. Then I asked for revision surgery, and of course there was no apology; they told me to pay 300,000 won for anesthesia... And honestly, the line on the left side was at least okay. Still, she couldn’t even make it a smooth curve^^ And whether she was comforting herself by saying people’s eyes are naturally uneven, or making excuses, it was frustrating. The right eye was even set with an angled bend. So I asked her to fix that too, but now it seems completely undone, and from the start, she made the inner/front part of the right eye look sunken. So even now, when I open my eyes, the height difference doesn’t match, and if you look closely, the front of the eye looks sunken while the back looks protruded. Oh, and after doing epicanthoplasty on me herself, she spouted nonsense like, “I think you’d look pretty if you got epicanthoplasty” She didn’t even remember that she had done it. It’s very noticeable in photos too, so I’m going to get revision surgery. I’ll leave a review after the revision.
