I had two facial contouring procedures: chin-tip reduction and square jaw reduction. My chin tip was originally long, so I had a complex about my appearance. During the consultation, the director listened carefully to all of my concerns without interrupting, and instead of pushing excessive recommendations, looked at my front and side views from multiple angles and pointed out only the areas that were truly necessary, which made me trust him. That’s why I decided to have the surgery.
It’s now 3 weeks after surgery, and after 2 painful weeks, I’m currently fighting the swelling. The swelling that made my lips feel like they were about to burst has gone down a lot, but the major swelling around the square jaw area and the minor swelling are still there, so I still feel a bit self-conscious walking around without a mask.
Still, when I wear the compression band or wash my face, I can feel that my face has gotten noticeably smaller, so I’m satisfied. I especially like that the outer contour of my face looks naturally slimmer and more refined without looking artificial.
There is still some swelling left, but maybe because the director performed the surgery so meticulously, I feel like I’m less swollen than other people, and the hospital facilities and all the staff are kind, so overall my satisfaction is high.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how it looks once all the swelling goes down :)
