After thinking about medial epicanthoplasty restoration for years, I really put in a lot of effort researching online and going to consultations, and I had surgery with Director Kim Jin-hyung at a plastic surgery clinic. I’m so satisfied with the results that I’m leaving a review! Haha
First of all, from the consultation, the director asked me in great detail why I wanted restoration and what parts I wanted improved, and he explained everything thoroughly in line with the direction I wanted. I think medial epicanthoplasty restoration has to be approached very carefully because even a 1 mm difference can completely change your impression.
To be honest, I was so stressed that I wanted to close it up a lot, but the director advised me that if we closed it too much, my eyes could look stuffy. Looking back now, I’m really glad I listened to him! ㅜㅜ He definitely improved my biggest concern, which was the hooked, sharp-looking impression, while closing it just the right amount so it didn’t look too stuffy or too round.
I had the revision lateral canthoplasty done together to correct the ㄷ-shaped deformity and to compensate for my eyes looking shorter as the front was restored, and I was honestly satisfied from right after surgery when I saw the clean line! The bruising and swelling were less than I expected too, and you know this kind of thing really shows the difference in a director’s skill, right? ㅜㅜ
He reassured me in advance that scar tissue could rise around the one- to two-month mark and temporarily make the eyes look stuffy, and in reality, getting scar-tissue injections once a month for care made me feel at ease. It can look a bit awkward in the beginning, but as time passed, people around me told me so many times that my impression looks better, I look gentler, and I look much younger!
I’m so satisfied that I feel like the time I spent worrying was a waste! The director is the best! 🩷🩷
