6-month review after cheekbone surgery at The Standard for Facial Contouring haha

It has now been about 6 months since I had cheekbone surgery with Director Oh Jung-seok at The Standard for Facial Contouring. Before surgery, my cheekbones looked very prominent, so I always covered my side profile with my hair. I had to pay a lot of attention to the angle when taking photos, and I was quite stressed because they seemed even more noticeable when I smiled. Honestly, it was an area that makeup couldn’t really cover well, so I had been concerned about it for a long time. After a lot of thought, I decided to have cheekbone facial contouring surgery, but at first I was scared of the surgery itself and worried about the recovery process. Still, after receiving a consultation and hearing that my face shape could be improved naturally in a way that suited me, I made up my mind.

The first thing I felt after surgery was that my facial line had definitely become softer. In the past, my cheekbones looked like they protruded when seen from the side, but now the overall line feels smooth and neatly refined. Thanks to that, my face looks smaller, and I think my impression has become much more feminine and sophisticated.

What I liked most of all was that I no longer feel burdened even when I tie my hair up. Before, I only felt comfortable when I covered my face, but now I can confidently wear styles that show my face, so my styling options have expanded. Being able to take photos naturally without worrying about angles is a really big change.

The reactions around me have also been really good. Rather than people saying I changed in an obvious way, I often hear things like “your face looks smaller” and “your overall vibe has become softer,” so I’m even more satisfied. Quite a few people have asked where I had it done, so I felt proud for no reason.

The recovery process was also much easier than I expected. In the beginning, there was swelling and a little discomfort, but it naturally went down over time, and it did not greatly interfere with my daily life. I recovered relatively quickly, so being able to return to my usual routine soon was also one of the points I was satisfied with.

Now, every time I look in the mirror, the part that used to stress me out is gone, so I’m very satisfied. I like the result so much that the time I spent worrying almost feels like a waste, and I feel like my confidence has definitely increased a lot. For those who are concerned about their cheekbones like I was, I would say it is an option worth considering.
