I’m really the kind of person who finds it annoying to post reviews anywhere (I’m basically destined for Baemin, but I’ve never posted a review lol), and I’m also the type who thinks you have to be really careful about recommending any surgery or procedure to someone….. But seriously, everyone who’s worried because of a double chin should definitely consider facial liposuction ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I’m also slim, but because of my double chin, people around me constantly said I didn’t look that weight. Even when I posted selfies, I heard a ridiculous number of times that I looked like I probably had a chubby body type... At first I wondered if I should just try a procedure, but when I went for consultations, all I heard was things like, “For your face, you’d need at least 5 rounds of contour injections,” and honestly, for that money, it’s better to add a bit more and get liposuction... lol
So I also thought about it a lot this time and got facial liposuction. If you look at the before-surgery photos, the double chin doesn’t show that clearly, but you can see that the overall face shape wasn’t great ㅠ And when I smiled widely, the fat under my chin showed more, so I always only smiled about that much.. Looking at it now, it’s honestly funny, like a forced smirk lol
When I was looking into facial liposuction, I didn’t just rush in after reading reviews. I used reviews as reference, but I looked at the director’s style before going. Experience -> obviously something you have to check Reviews -> obviously you have to look at them;;; But skip places that only have recent reviews Clinic -> this may depend on the person, but I filtered out really small new clinics and very large major clinics. I think mid-sized is just right, and the system is well established too!
There were comments saying the director at the place where I had surgery was very short-spoken... things like that, so I was a bit nervous when I went for the consultation, but hmm... I was fine with it. That doesn’t mean they were super warm and friendly, no no. They weren’t unfriendly either, and they also weren’t excessively friendly. They just looked at the ultrasound and explained the necessary surgical parts, and I actually liked it more because there were no unnecessary comments or recommendations. Also, the aftercare was really well set up, and they said there was unlimited care too, so I thought, isn’t liposuction + care essential?? That’s why I got it there.
I only got facial liposuction specifically for my double chin, and I seriously don’t regret it at all. Above, I said I was careful even about smiling because I was afraid my double chin would look worse, right? Now I just go around smiling brightly like sunshine ^-------^
After facial liposuction, for about 2–3 days, it felt really tight when I lifted my head upward, and the clinic told me to make sure I didn’t lower my head. There was some reason, but I don’t really remember.. I just followed it diligently.
I wore the compression band as much as possible, and since I only had facial liposuction for the double chin without adding any other procedure or surgery, I think my recovery was smoother. The very last photo was taken early on, so you can see some swelling, but now it’s much slimmer than that, and the bruising went from bluish -> yellow bruising -> back to skin color, so it was fine. Who’s going to stare that closely at my neck... haha
Overall I’m satisfied with facial liposuction, but the one annoying thing is the compression band. But then I worry recovery will be slow or that hard lumps might form, so I wear it whenever I remember, but it is sooo annoying, seriously ㅠㅠ
I think I got surgery done well at exactly the kind of place I wanted. I think a place that gives only the necessary explanations concisely and has good skills is faaar better than a place that is just flashy and kind during consultation but has terrible skill. Everyone, when you get consultations, don’t just be won over because they’re kind. Check lots of different things before deciding. Don’t put down a deposit right away on the same day!!! Decide after you’ve gone through all your consultations. Anyway, even for same-day reservation discounts, it’s usually not something you have to decide right then and there. If you contact them separately on the same day, they’ll usually still apply it. So what I mean is, when going around for consultations, there’s no need to feel too rushed~ That’s what I’m saying.
