I had surgery at one of the places known as a hospital specializing in removal haha. It’s been 1 month and 2 weeks, and my nostril asymmetry has gotten worse Originally, I decided on removal because the ear cartilage at my nasal tip was showing through, and at every consultation I went to, they said my nose was on the longer side, so it would look pretty if they removed it and raised the nasal tip with cartilage. In the end, I removed the silicone + ear cartilage and only reinforced the nasal tip with septal cartilage. At first, I didn’t notice because I had a splint on, and after the splint was removed I was focused on my nasal bridge, so I didn’t notice then either. (Up until then, I had even left a comment in a community saying I was satisfied..) But at some point, my nostrils... became severely asymmetrical, like 1 0. (Before surgery, I had never once thought about my nostril asymmetry. Of course they probably weren’t perfectly symmetrical, but I had never heard anyone mention my nostrils being asymmetrical in my whole life, and now even people around me are asking what happened to my nostrils) Anyway, now I keep thinking maybe I should have just had everything removed, and whether I chose the wrong hospital I also feel like maybe no matter where you do it, you need luck on your side.. There are people who say they succeeded, and people like me who say otherwise, so revision and removal really seem so, so difficult... Even if a place is known in this community as specializing in removal... it may not be 100% successful.. I feel like I read that in another post too, but I can’t believe I became that case~~ At the hospital, the consultant said it hasn’t been long since surgery, so it could be swelling, and that people’s nostrils are naturally asymmetrical, right? It was like they were telling me to wait. The doctor showed me my before photos and said they had already been asymmetrical before haha. Still, isn’t this a bit severe... Nose surgery is really difficult!!! Why did I even get nose surgery in the first place And has anyone here had revision surgery like me, had nostril asymmetry, and then improved later.. I want to have hope haha +If it weren’t for the uneven nostrils, I’d be satisfied... There’s no step-off or dent in my nasal bridge, and the part of my nasal tip that used to show through white has improved.. But the nostrils are just so disappointing and upsetting. Even though I searched so much about removal and revision, I hate myself for never even thinking about the nostrils~~~ I also feel like I should have looked into it more carefully.. I went through so much emotional stress because the nasal tip cartilage was showing through, and now I’m sad thinking a new round of emotional stress is starting Anyway, I’m sure everyone reading this is also considering removal and revision, so I hope you all decide carefully, have good luck, and succeed!!
