Eye Surgery Reviews

Review of Jung Woochang Plastic Surgery Clinic on a community

I went for a consultation for epicanthoplasty and double eyelid surgery. In conclusion, he told me not to have surgery. He said that even if I got epicanthoplasty, because my skin is dark, white scars would be very noticeable, and that there actually isn’t that much to open at the inner corners in the first place. I said my wide glabella was a complex of mine, and he said that in my case, my eyes are small so the space between them looks wide, not that there is much of a blocked area at the inner corners. When I asked if there was anything that could be done to my eyes, he tried shaping a line and said I don’t really need double eyelids, and that a lot of the Mongolian fold would have to be cut away, but if that happened, the scars would definitely be very visible, so it would be best to just leave things as they are. Then he said he usually doesn’t say things like this unless it’s really necessary, but if I want the space between my eyes to look narrower, I should just wear glasses instead... He even recommended glasses frames that would suit me lolololol

Other hospitals only briefly mentioned that scars could form regarding epicanthoplasty scars, but here, he evaluated me objectively from an ordinary person’s perspective rather than just a doctor’s perspective, so I trusted him.

Separate from being rejected for surgery, the director seemed very proud of his own skills and seemed to practice conscientiously.

When a doctor is this strongly discouraging me, honestly, my mind is wavering. I think I need to think about it a lot.
