As of writing this, I’ve gone around to 5 places for consultations, and only 2 of them mentioned that the amount of my pupil exposure differs. One of them was here. But I had never paid attention to the difference in pupil exposure until now, and it doesn’t really bother me, so when I said I didn’t want ptosis correction, they said I didn’t have to do it (though they did recommend it if I wanted to match the amount of pupil exposure). So I liked that there was no pressure. When I said scar improvement was my top priority, they said the scar couldn’t be completely excised and that it would have to be redone with a two-line incision technique, and that if scar improvement was my biggest goal, they wouldn’t necessarily recommend surgery right now. I really liked that the director spoke honestly, and it made me trust them. When I asked, “Then should I do it later when I have more extra skin?” they said that would be fine and told me not to force myself to do it. Anyway, since scar improvement is my top priority, my expectations for surgery are average.
