Since it was a revision surgery, I looked into it very carefully before going for a consultation, but overall, the way they responded was very disappointing. I got the impression that both the staff and the consultant seemed a bit bothered, and I felt there was a lack of attentiveness or consideration for revision-surgery patients.
Revision surgery is more expensive than the first surgery, and from the patient’s perspective, there is much more anxiety, but the consultation felt far too short and casual. Even though I scheduled the surgery date right away before leaving, instead of looking at things more carefully, it actually felt like they brushed through it even more, so honestly, my trust dropped.
The consultation with the director was also too short, so I did not even have time to ask proper questions. It felt like he just looked briefly and ended it with, “Yes, it’s possible.” I know it is a well-known clinic, but I hope they do not see patients only as money and instead think once more about why someone would come in after worrying enough to consider revision surgery. For people who come with a truly desperate heart, I think a more sincere consultation and more thorough explanation are needed.
