I was able to let go of my lingering attachment to functional rhinoplasty..
I usually had nasal congestion during seasonal changes, before waking up, after waking up, and when turning on the air conditioner. Also, the distinctive fishy smell I noticed when rubbing my nose started occurring even without rubbing my nose, so I suspected sinusitis. Since my nose looked crooked externally, I assumed I had a deviated septum and visited because I was considering functional + cosmetic surgery.
The doctor seems to be the type who does not say much unless the patient asks questions first. If you are going for a consultation at this hospital, I recommend visiting at least one other place first to build some background knowledge about your nose.. or studying through other media and preparing about 5 questions before the consultation We were both introverted, so it was awkward;;
In the end, maybe because this period right now (mid-March) is not when rhinitis is at its peak, there were no structural issues visible on the CT at all, so functional surgery was not necessary. I came for plastic surgery but only ended up getting an ENT diagnosis. Are there others like me… Anyway, it was very helpful in deciding whether to get functional rhinoplasty.
For reference, there was absolutely no pressure to pay a deposit, and they only asked about my planned surgery timing. There was also no mention of offering a discount if I provided a review or photos. Maybe because of the CT results, they judged that there was a high chance I would not have surgery there, so they did not pressure me.
