My first double eyelid surgery. I had incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and an upper epicanthoplasty. I chose it because the consultation experience was so good, but even now, 3 years later, I still regret it. The surgery itself went well, but they made the line high, so the already narrow space between my eyes and eyebrows became even narrower. My distance between the eyes was already appropriate, so my eyes were the type that should not have had either an upper epicanthoplasty or medial epicanthoplasty, but they did it anyway, making my impression look fierce. If anything, my eyes look smaller and closer together than before the double eyelid surgery. The fixation is deep, and the scars are still there, so it is truly the worst. It is bad enough to make me feel mentally ill. The surgeon is good at the surgery itself, but has absolutely no aesthetic sense, and the aesthetic sense is outdated. I clearly asked for the line to be low, and they also said they would do that, but right after the surgery, the first thing they said was that as I get older the line will get lower, so they intentionally made it high. I should have known then. I thought it would get better once the swelling went down, but even now it is extremely obvious that I had double eyelid surgery. Leaving aside the fact that it is obvious, it just does not suit my face. Not a single person has said I look better after double eyelid surgery; everyone only asks why the line was made so high. I want revision surgery, but since my first surgery turned out like this, I am too scared to do it. It seems like this happened because I trusted their experience, and without properly agreeing on exactly how many millimeters they would make it, they drew the line however they wanted and set it high. I still regret it.
