Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

6-Month Facial Contouring Review at DA Plastic Surgery!!

It has already been 6 months since I had facial contouring surgery. When I was first thinking about surgery, I looked up so many reviews, so I’ll try to write this in as much detail as possible in the hope that it helps someone else.

First, to start with the conclusion, I saw a really big effect, and my satisfaction level is very high. The change is so clear that people around me say my image has completely changed, to the point where I even thought, “Why didn’t I do it sooner?”

Before surgery, I often heard that my face looked big and strong because of my cheekbones and square jaw. In photos, especially my lateral cheekbones looked like they protruded, which stressed me out, and my jawline was also blunt, so my overall face shape had a strong round and wide impression. So I always covered it with my hair, or paid a lot of attention to angles when taking photos.

Honestly, right after surgery was not easy. I had a lot of swelling, my facial sensation was dull, opening my mouth was uncomfortable, and eating was hard, so there were times when I thought, “Did I do this for nothing...” Especially up to week 2, I felt even more anxious because the swelling made it hard to see the effect. But after 1 month, the major swelling went down, and from months 2 to 3, I started to clearly see my contour taking shape.

And now I’m at 6 months, and this is really where it starts to feel complete. Almost all of the residual swelling has gone down, the lines have naturally settled, and my face shape has become much softer. Since my cheekbones went in, it feels like the width of my face itself has decreased, and since my jawline is more defined, my side profile has become really clean. Before, taking selfies was tiring because I had to find the right angle, but now my face shape looks more refined even if I just take photos casually, so my stress has dropped a lot.

The part I’m most satisfied with is that it feels “natural but clearly changed.” To some people, it just looks like I lost weight, but up close, the lines are completely different, that kind of feeling? I like most that I got a soft, feminine line without it looking overly shaved down.

The reactions around me have also been very good. I hear things like “your face got smaller,” “your impression became softer,” and “you got prettier” a lot, and especially people seeing me after a long time notice almost right away. My confidence has definitely gone up, so I avoid taking photos less, and I think I’ve started trying more varied styling too.

If I had to mention something uncomfortable, it would be a slight remaining stiffness? Sometimes I feel tightness around my jaw, but it’s not enough to interfere with daily life, and I think it will get better with time. Sensation has also come back a lot compared to the beginning.

To sum up, the recovery process is definitely not easy, but I think it’s a surgery with results satisfying enough to endure it. In my case, the effect was quite “dramatic,” so I think my satisfaction is even higher, and for people who have major concerns about their face shape, I felt it is an option worth considering.

If you’re currently thinking about it, I really recommend choosing the hospital and consultation carefully after comparing several places. The surgery itself is important, but I think designing it to suit your own face makes a really big difference.

Even if I had to choose again, I think I would do it. That’s how satisfied I am!!
