While getting a consultation for rhinitis surgery, I was debating whether to have it done together, but instead of pushing me toward excessive changes, they explained only the areas that were necessary based on my facial proportions, so I had rhinoplasty and ptosis correction done together at DL Plastic Surgery Clinic. I’m now 4 months post-op, and what I feel at this point comes down to one thing. The swelling is essentially all gone, and the lines have almost settled into their final form. It no longer feels like “I had surgery” the way it did early on; it has naturally settled as if my face had always been this well-balanced.
For my nose, I notice the biggest difference from the front. In the past, my nose looked relatively prominent from the front and drew attention, but now the center of my face looks much more refined. The impression that my nostrils looked large has also clearly decreased, so I hardly worry about angles when taking photos anymore. Now that I’m 4 months post-op, the side profile also feels more firmly fixed in place, and as the hump area has been refined, the overall line falls smoothly. The nasal tip also looks cleaner as the residual swelling went down, and what I’m satisfied with is that it looks naturally refined rather than artificially “built up.”
With ptosis correction, what remains most clearly is comfort rather than “size.” Before, I had to put effort into opening my eyes, which made my expression look tired, but now opening my eyes is much more comfortable, and the habit of using strength in my forehead has mostly disappeared. As a result, my eyes naturally look clearer, and I’m often told that my overall impression looks cleaner.
The recovery process was also guided systematically, and Director Jung Jin-wook personally checked my condition during aftercare, so I never felt like I was being left alone in anxiety. At the 4-month mark, my overall facial lines feel refined by one level, so my satisfaction is high, and I now clearly understand what it means when people say it becomes more natural over time.
