Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

I’m really satisfied with my square jaw surgery

As I got older, my square jawbone seemed to widen more and more, and my masseter muscles also got bigger, so it looked way too prominent. I’d been getting Botox for it, but starting about 2 years ago, I developed resistance to Botox and it stopped working. After that, it just kept getting bigger, so I eventually decided to have surgery. I spent months researching several clinics online, and I chose Contour Standard because their review photos seemed to have the least editing, the reviews felt honest, I liked the director’s aesthetic sense of not making the jaw look too overly tapered, and the price was the most reasonable. I live outside Seoul, so after a KakaoTalk consultation, I first scheduled the surgery date, then went up on the day of surgery for the in-person consultation. All the staff were kind, so I felt a little less nervous! Director Oh Jung-seok honestly told me what was possible and what wasn’t, so I trusted him. I brought photos and said, “I don’t want it like this, I want it like this,” but I think it would be good for others to look into things in more detail beforehand. For example, how many centimeters of mandibular angle to leave below the ear, what angle to make it, whether you want a sharp jawline like Karina’s through jawline liposuction, and so on. He asked detailed questions, but I didn’t really know that much, so I remember being briefly flustered. I wasn’t aiming for Karina’s jaw, so he said it would be better not to do liposuction according to my needs, so I only did the jaw. He said he doesn’t particularly prefer cutting the square jaw, but I said I wanted to because my muscle development was so severe due to Botox side effects. After feeling my jaw muscles, he said let’s do it lolololol. Because of the resistance, I had to do it Before surgery, what I worried about most wasn’t pain but the nausea from general anesthesia. Since I had to take the subway, train, and car all the way back to my region on the same day, I was worried about what I’d do if I felt like throwing up, but I had zero nausea. The compression band was pressing down hard on the muscles, and that hurt so much. I think I kept pressing the button asking for the pain-control injection. After the second pain-control dose, I felt okay and went home the same day. Since I didn’t have cheekbone surgery, there was no drainage tube. During recovery, everyone seemed to drink New Care, but those drink-type meals couldn’t control my appetite. They told me not to drink water on the day of surgery if possible, but on the way back to my region I was so hungry and thirsty that I struggled to drink water on the train, then went to McDonald’s and had a chocolate sundae and chocolate shake..(sorry) The next day, I tried drinking things like New Care, but I was hungry, so I ate castella and ice cream. Then I was so hungry again that I cut up toast, blended gukbap, and even blended spicy pork with rice porridge and ate it lololololol. I blended everything I wanted to eat and ate it,,(sorry..) I feel like I’m the only person who eats this well after surgery. Since the surgery was done well, my mouth is opening better and better, and I think my recovery has gone well too. But my throat hurt so much haha. For walks, I think I went out 3-4 times a day for about 30 minutes to 1 hour each time, so around 3-4 hours a day. I didn’t eat pumpkin porridge or take swelling medicine or anything like that at all. I heard walking is better! I also wore the compression band and did warm/cold compresses diligently. I rested for a week and went back to work, and in week 2 I had the stitches removed at a plastic surgery clinic in my region. Now that it’s been a month, a lot of the major swelling has gone down, and there’s still some minor swelling left. My submandibular glands were already a bit visible, but they show more after surgery. I knew that could happen, so I don’t mind, but others should keep it in mind. The jawbone itself has become smaller, and I’m so happy that the angular jaw doesn’t show from the front (this was what stressed me out the most) I gained weight, so I don’t know if it’s swelling or fat, but I’m going to diet soon? so I’m looking forward to seeing how much goes down at 2 and 3 months 😝 Anyway, I’m very, very satisfied, and my recovery was really fast too, so I’m happy with it.
