It was 13 years ago, when facial contouring surgery was booming. I only looked at reviews and thought I would turn out like that too, went to consultations at just 2 places, and had surgery at a large hospital in Gangnam. At first I couldn’t tell because of the swelling, but as the swelling went down, my chin felt like it was shifted to the left. The side profiles of both sides of my jaw were also different, so I was extremely stressed. I went back to the hospital and said the asymmetry was severe, and they said people are naturally all asymmetrical, that I had been asymmetrical to begin with, and that there was no problem with the surgery. I had no confidence to fight a large hospital, so I just came out feeling small and defeated. Even now, 13 years later, every time I look in the mirror or see photos, I feel like my chin tip has been advanced too far forward and is deviated to the left. But revision surgery for T-osteotomy and square jaw reduction seems difficult, and it’s expensive too, so I’m just living every day with this hopeless face.. I really hope people are careful about T-osteotomy chin advancement... Even now, whenever I pass by that hospital, I spit. Not long after my surgery, there was a death during surgery there, so I’m just grateful to be alive.
