Review of my square jaw reduction surgery + muscle resection at Bondi Plastic Surgery!
Day of surgery (2025.10.1) I visited in the morning on an empty stomach, and the surgery was performed under general anesthesia. The square jaw muscle was carefully resected, and V-line contouring was done. The surgery took about 2 hours, and when I woke up, there was little swelling and almost no pain. The staff checked on me kindly in the recovery room, so I felt reassured.
1 week after surgery (early October) The swelling reached its peak on day 3 and then went down quickly. I managed inflammation with cold compresses and only ate soft foods (porridge, soup). I recorded my weight and face photos every morning. During aftercare, I received feedback from the director and was told that the surgery went well!
Currently (5 months after surgery) My jawline has become completely soft, and a natural jawline is complete. The angular impression I had in my before photos is gone, and my face has become slimmer. I have resumed stair climbing and weight training and am managing my body fat. I’m satisfied because the recovery was clean. There are some areas like scar tissue, but I think where there are gains, there are also trade-offs!
