I had two nose surgeries, but the bridge of my nose kept swelling and blood kept pooling there. When I went to the hospital, they said it was inflammation.. and that the silicone had to be removed. The nasal tip was also too pointy and obviously looked operated on, so it was stressful, and my nasal obstruction was severe too. The left side in particular was so bad that I couldn’t even fit a finger in. So this time, I decided to get revision surgery for a contracted nose without silicone. The director explained that my nasal septum had dissolved, so it needed to be rebuilt with autologous costal cartilage, and that the inside of my nose had become very narrow, so they would also do nasal valve surgery to address the nasal obstruction. I said I wanted the nasal tip to be rounded and natural-looking, and they were good at listening to what I wanted. While looking at the CT, the director said the deviation inside my nose also had not been properly corrected during the previous surgery. Since it was revision surgery for a contracted nose, it took quite a while, and they harvested two pieces of costal cartilage. After the surgery, the director said there was a lot of scar tissue because of the inflammation. They said they couldn’t remove it completely because my skin was thin, but they cleaned it up as much as possible.
