On March 14, I had double eyelid surgery and upper canthoplasty together. I originally had monolids, and I wanted an in-out line that looked as natural and unobtrusive as possible, so after carefully going to consultations at several clinics, I ended up choosing my current clinic. I had upper canthoplasty to open up my severe Mongolian folds. To be honest, when creating double eyelids from monolids, I was really worried that the line might be set too high or look artificial, but this clinic seemed to have a strength in creating a natural line that suited my eye structure, so I felt I could trust them. During the consultation, rather than just recommending a large crease no matter what, they explained things in a direction that would suit my image, which made me trust them even more.
The surgery finished faster than I expected, and although there was swelling right afterward, it was much less than I had been worried about. I especially felt that the swelling care was good, and maybe because they did both swelling laser treatment and swelling injections, my recovery was relatively quick. In fact, after about 2 weeks, the swelling had gone down so naturally that people could barely tell I had double eyelid surgery unless I told them.
It still has not completely settled yet, but as time passes, it is becoming more and more natural, and when I open my eyes, they look much clearer than before, so I am quite satisfied. I especially think choosing an in-out line was a good decision. It is not too flashy, but my eyes definitely look bigger and my overall impression feels more defined. Maybe because the upper canthoplasty removed my Mongolian folds, my eyes went from looking sharp to looking softer.
I am looking forward to it because I think it will look even prettier once the swelling goes down more and it fully settles. Overall, it was a good experience in terms of natural results, consultation satisfaction, and aftercare, so I am leaving this review.
