You can tell from the photos, but I had a short nose, a blunt bulbous nose, and even a hump, so I knew it wasn’t an easy case. I think I really looked up tons of nose surgery reviews… I didn’t want it to look obvious, but I also didn’t want it to be only too natural, so I wanted that exact natural but slightly glamorous, refined look lol
But every time I went for consultations, I was told a lot that I would almost definitely need autologous costal cartilage..ㅜ Honestly, autologous costal cartilage felt a bit burdensome and worrying because of the scar and pain ㅠ But when I had a consultation with Director Choo Sung-chul at D-Day, he said they would make maximum use of my septal cartilage and reinforce only the insufficient parts with donated costal cartilage, so even a short nose could be corrected naturally. After the consultation, I booked right away
After getting surgery with septal cartilage and donated costal cartilage, my nasal tip feels much more firmly supported, and my previously short nose became naturally longer, so I feel like my overall proportions definitely improved. The line doesn’t feel overly glamorous either; it feels naturally more defined, so I think it got closer to the refined vibe I wanted lol
I’m 5 months post-op now, and as the swelling keeps going down, it’s becoming more and more natural while the line is still well maintained, so I’m even more satisfied!
The hump on the nasal bridge and the step-off were cleaned up neatly, so it became much smoother. The nasal tip is also holding up firmly and feels stable without being upturned, so the short-nose look improved a lot too
Maybe because I also had cartilage suturing done, the bulbous-nose look has reduced a lot, and since my nose looks slimmer overall, my impression feels much softer too ㅠ Before, my nose stressed me out, but now I’m just living satisfied lol It may look like a small change, but it really does seem to change the whole vibe!
