I think there’s a reason people say the nose is the center of the face. My nasal bridge was low and my nasal tip was spread out, so my face had no dimensionality at all. So I had only been thinking that I should get rhinoplasty someday, and among hospitals known for men’s nose surgery, I searched a lot for a place that would guide me in a natural direction that suited my face, rather than an overly obvious straight nose. I had it done with autologous costal cartilage by Director Yoon Seok-ho, and for the nasal bridge, I used a custom-made FitMeKo implant. Maybe because the custom implant was made to fit my nose, it doesn’t look unnatural from any angle at all.
I usually had trouble breathing too, so I had rhinitis surgery at the same time, and after doing it, I can really feel the difference. Even though it’s the change of seasons, I don’t have a runny nose or cough. I sleep comfortably too, so my body feels lighter, and I think I really got the full effect.
I heard that with functional cosmetic rhinoplasty, it’s common for either only the rhinitis to improve or only the shape to turn out well, but for me, both the rhinitis and the shape improved, so I’m living very satisfied. Nothing hurts, and since my nose is much higher than before, I’ve gained a lot of confidence too.
The hospital also took good care of the rhinitis documents, so applying for the reimbursement was completed without any problems, yeah. Their aftercare is really well set up too, so I like that I don’t have to worry about the scar where the autologous rib cartilage was harvested. It has already become very faint, so unless I mention it, it’s not very noticeable.
Every time I go, all the staff are kind, and as the swelling goes down more and more, I like it even more.
