My body itself has never been the type to look overweight, but when people only looked at my face, they easily thought I weighed 5 kg more than I actually did, and that was stressful ㅠㅠ When I was a baby, I thought it was just baby fat... In my teens, I was sitting down studying, eating meals, and snacking, so there was no way I wouldn’t gain weight, and in my 20s it was drinking weight.. haha.. I kept eating without getting myself together until my mid-20s. After I seriously started losing weight, I’ve been maintaining an average weight again. But once I got into my 30s, the fat stuck on my face would not go away no matter what ㅠㅠ Even when I dieted hard, my double chin still looked like this, so it didn’t show much. You need a jawline for your face to look slim at a glance, and so you don’t look heavy in photos, but since that wasn’t happening, I eventually got help from surgery^^..... haha
Looking at the before-surgery photos, you might think I intentionally made my chin fat show like that, and lowering my head a bit may have made it look more exaggerated, but that fat is exactly how it was... Plus, I’m only looking slightly downward, and it’s not a photo I forced to look worse. (Why would I do that haha) Because of that chin fat, I’ve been called things like a poison dart frog and a pelican. Even at that time, I had lost 2 kg more, but the double chin still wouldn’t go away, so I talked about all of these concerns during the consultation.
I first went for consultations at well-known places, and the reason was that I didn’t really trust newly opened clinics.... and I thought famous places are famous for a reason. After looking into a few places online, the common traits of famous places were that the doctor had a lot of experience, aftercare was well organized, and the reviews were good. The clinic where I had surgery fit these conditions exactly too. During the consultation, the doctor recommended not only liposuction but also muscle tightening + deep cheek fat removal, so I was a little taken aback.. But it wasn’t just a random recommendation; they checked all the fat with ultrasound first and then explained it. The doctor is a little on the curt side, but honestly, I thought as long as the surgery goes well, that’s not a big problem. (I also read in this community that a doctor with no skill is scarier than an unfriendly doctor lol) So I got surgery there!! Double chin liposuction + muscle tightening + deep cheek fat removal, like this!!!
After surgery, on days 1-2, I really couldn’t get used to the compression band, and the lower part of my face?? didn’t feel like it was moving the way I wanted, so it was such a fascinating and strange experience… ㅠㅠ Still, after about a week it got much better, and I got the hang of wearing the compression band. Rather than wearing it while just sitting still at home, I wore it when cleaning the house, or when putting on a hat and taking a walk nearby!! Doing that made the pulling sensation feel a bit less intense.
I’m so happy that my double chin completely disappeared after surgeryㅠㅠㅠㅠ I’m genuinely seeing my jawline for the first time, so I’m just amazed. I’ve tried various smaller procedures before, but yeah.. if you want a definite result, surgery is the answer bb
Things I did after facial liposuction… > Took a new ID photo and replaced the photo on my resident ID haha > Before, when friends asked me to film things like Reels, I wouldn’t do it unless it was full-body, but now I’m confident even when my face shows > I used to have a habit of lifting the tip of my chin because I was worried my chin fat would show when someone saw my side profile, but that’s gone too!!
Compared to the surgery cost... this surgery brought me nothing but huge benefits ♡ ♡ ♡
