I went to have permanent filler that I had received a long time ago removed, but I was told that a granuloma had formed there and that I should not do anything. They said that intense facial massage could make the granuloma grow, and that filler procedures in other areas or other surgeries could also make the granuloma grow. They said that from 15 years after permanent filler treatment, the lump could become larger, so we should monitor it. They explained that during COVID, there were cases where people who had received fillers developed granulomas as a vaccine side effect, and that even if the injections or fillers we receive have undergone immune processing, immune reactions such as granulomas can occur. The consultation manager kept opening the door the wrong way, blocking the front so I could not leave, or talking about irrelevant things, so it was a bit frustrating. When I said that after removing the old filler or granuloma, I was planning to have autologous dermal surgery, they said they were flustered because their clinic removes volume rather than fills it, which made me even more flustered. I had clearly said I came here for removal, so why they thought that way... Anyway, since the director told me not to do anything, I don’t think I’ll go back. The consultation fee was 40,000 won.
