Honest one-month review after facial contouring at the clinic
I had zygoma reduction, deep cheek fat removal, and facial liposuction done together at the clinic, and it’s already been one month. I’m starting to feel the changes now, and time seems to be going by pretty quickly.
There was quite a bit of swelling in the beginning, but if the initial swelling was 100, I’d say about 30 remains now. Around the one-month mark, people around me started saying, “The swelling has gone down a lot now.” In my two-week review, I mentioned that the temple area was swollen, but now that part seems to have returned almost to normal.
I can chew almost everything, but I’m still being careful with hard or tough foods. I can open my mouth enough to fit about two fingers, and although the zygoma area still feels slightly awkward when I smile, it has definitely loosened up a lot compared with week two. As for sensation, only the zygoma area still doesn’t quite feel like my own skin, and there’s still a slight feeling like I’m touching someone else’s skin. There is also still a little scar tissue inside my mouth. Still, it has loosened up a lot compared with the early stage, so the discomfort is gradually decreasing.
Honestly, in terms of line changes, I feel the effects of the deep cheek fat removal and facial liposuction more than the zygoma reduction. My facial width looks more refined and smaller, so people around me often think I lost weight or say my face has gotten smaller. When I visit next month for my two-month follow-up care, I plan to ask in more detail about the changes in my zygoma area as well.
My satisfaction level right now is about 7.5 out of 10. It may just feel that way because there is still some residual swelling. Personally, I feel like my swelling is lasting a little longer than in other reviews, so I hope the remaining swelling goes down quickly. Still, for one month post-op, I think the recovery process isn’t bad, so I’m looking forward to everything settling more naturally from here.
