First nose surgery with autologous costal cartilage, 1 month post-op!

One month after my nose surgery, the swelling went down really quickly, and it was fascinating to hear that it will continue to go down even more. At first, I looked like Thomas because of the swelling, but since I also managed my diet, the swelling went down even faster. Now that I’m one month post-op from rhinoplasty, everyone says it turned out so well and asks which clinic I went to, so I confidently go around recommending RU!

People say revision rhinoplasty can go as far as a third surgery, but I chose to pay more and have it done safely with autologous costal cartilage by Dr. Kim Hyun-joo at a private clinic, and I’m very satisfied.

When I went in at the one-month mark, there was almost no pain at the site where the autologous rib cartilage was harvested, but I’m still being careful when sneezing and avoiding yawning or laughing widely. Also, when I went to the clinic at one month, they said it was settling in stably. I asked when my upper lip, which still doesn’t move well, would return to normal, and they said it would take about two months. After touching my nose with their hand, they said the nasal height around the glabella area would come down a bit more. I’m happy because I’m satisfied even with the current height. I want to keep taking good care of it so the result lasts a long time.
