4-month review after full nasal implant removal at GYS!

I’m the person who posted a review before about full nasal implant removal, and since I just went for my final checkup, I’m leaving one more review!

To briefly write down my info: 8 years ago: first nose surgery (silicone + septal extension + hump correction + ear cartilage for the nasal tip) About 5 years ago: removed the ear cartilage from the nasal tip because it was showing through Last November: had everything removed at GYS

More detailed information, including the consultation and why I decided to have the surgery, is in the post I wrote before, so I hope you can refer to it and that it helps.

You can tell from the photos, but my natural nose, surgical nose, and post-removal nose are all different! And the post-removal nose is definitely prettier than my natural nose!

After removing everything, I don’t have that anxiety anymore, and in daily life I actually feel much freer and more comfortable, so my satisfaction is high. Shape-wise too, I’m satisfied.

Including the first surgery, the time when I only removed the nasal tip cartilage in between, and this time when I removed everything, I had a total of 3 open-incision surgeries, so I was worried about scarring too. But I diligently applied ophthalmic ointment, and it seems to have healed well.

If you look at the photo from 1 month after removal, you can see a bit of redness, right? But that all disappeared, and now it just looks like bare skin.

And for the shape, I think the photo from 3 months after removal is exactly the completed result. I’m almost 4 months post-op now, and since there hasn’t been any further change in my nose shape, I’m not taking nose photos like before anymore. I think it’s finished now?

They say they watch residual swelling go down for up to 1 year, but I think it’ll probably be a very tiny difference.

They told me that if I massage diligently, I’ll be able to make a pig nose, so I’m trying hard to do that. When it becomes possible, I’ll write another review.

I hope this review helps people who are considering full nasal implant removal!

+ In my previous post, many people asked about the price, but since it will probably vary hugely depending on the condition of each nose, I think it’s best to just go to the hospital for a consultation and hear it there I also went around to several places, and the estimates differed by hospital and were different from the prices in the reviews I had looked up beforehand. Especially with GYS, there’s that perception that it’s expensive, so I think that’s what everyone is most curious about, and it definitely was the highest price range among the hospitals I consulted with. Still, I think I did well to have it done here. Anyway, just take this as reference, and I recommend going for a consultation yourself!
