3-month review of incisional double eyelid surgery at Apgujeong Aiting

I had double eyelid surgery with the buried-suture method 7 years ago, but over time, the double eyelid on my right eye gradually loosened, and I had to strain to open my eyes, so I started considering revision surgery. I think it was especially stressful because the asymmetry of my eyes bothered me so much every time I took photos.

I went to consultations at several clinics and thought about it a lot, but when I had my consultation at Aiting, they pointed out the condition of my eyes very accurately, so I decided to go with them. They brought up the discomfort I had been feeling before I even mentioned it, so I felt confident.

In the early period after surgery, there was definitely a difference in swelling between the left and right sides, but as time passed, they gradually evened out, and now at 3 months, they have settled naturally with almost no difference. I heard that the right side was a structurally more difficult case in particular, but now the line is being maintained stably, so I think I’m even more satisfied.

I was very worried because it was an incisional procedure, but recovery was faster than I expected, and the swelling went down quickly too. I’m no longer bothered by the asymmetry like before, and I have no discomfort at all in daily life.

Most of all, what I’m most satisfied with is that it has become easier to open my eyes. Before, it felt like I was unconsciously straining to open them, but now they open naturally and clearly, so it’s much more comfortable, and I feel like my overall impression looks cleaner too.

Even without heavy makeup, my eyes look clear, so these days I actually find myself going for more of an effortless, natural look haha. I can feel them becoming more and more natural as time goes by, so overall I’m very satisfied!
